Major Entropia Events Platform Update
Major Entropia Events Platform Update
Entropia Events has received a large platform update focused on improving the event creation flow, scoring systems, user interaction features, support pages, and the overall first-time user experience.
This update brings several important systems together and makes the platform feel much more complete while it continues through beta development.
New Introduction Page
A new Introduction page has been added to explain how Entropia Events works from start to finish.
This page gives players and event creators a clear step-by-step guide for using the platform:
-
Step 1: Login or register
-
Step 2: Download the Entropia Events Client
-
Step 3: Set up your avatar, verify your avatar name, and link your chat.log
-
Step 4: Start Live Sync
-
Step 5: Create your event
-
Step 6: Advertise your event page
-
Step 7: Track event analytics, leaderboard progress, and results
The Introduction page is designed to help new users understand the platform quickly instead of landing on the site and wondering where to start.
A new Introduction button has also been added to the homepage so visitors can easily learn how the system works before creating an event.
Resources Page Added
A new Resources page has been added to collect useful Entropia Universe links in one place.
The page includes official links, planet partner links, community tools, useful databases, maps, and Entropia-related websites.
The goal is to make Entropia Events more useful as part of the wider Entropia Universe community, not only as an event platform.
Support And FAQ Search Page Added
A new Support and FAQ search page has been added to help users find answers more easily.
This page gives players a dedicated place to search help topics, platform guidance, app setup information, Live Sync support, account questions, event creation help, and troubleshooting information.
The goal is to make Entropia Events easier to use without forcing users to guess where information is located.
The Support and FAQ system helps cover important areas such as:
-
Getting started with Entropia Events
-
Downloading and setting up the Desktop Client
-
Avatar verification
-
Linking chat.log
-
Live Sync troubleshooting
-
Creating events
-
Joining events
-
Understanding leaderboards
-
Using event analytics
-
General platform support
This gives the platform a proper help area and makes the beta experience safer for new users who may need guidance before creating or joining events.
Tip Jar Page Added
A new Tip Jar page has been added for anyone who wants to support the Entropia Museum Network and its connected projects, including Entropia Events.
The page uses Entropia Museum Network branding and links to the official PayPal.me support link.
Support is completely optional, but it gives players a simple way to help keep the platform and network growing.
Scoring System Expanded And Cleaned Up
A major scoring system pass has been completed.
Several scoring types that existed in different parts of the platform were not fully connected through every required system. This has now been cleaned up across event creation, editing, scoring logic, parsing, leaderboards, event pages, and analytics.
The supported scoring types now include:
-
Total PED
-
Global Count
-
HOF Count
-
Kill Count
-
Highest Global
-
Highest HOF
-
Total Fish Value
-
Fish Count
-
Highest Fish Value
-
Total Skill Gains
-
Highest Skill Gain
This means event creators now have a much stronger scoring foundation to work with when creating different types of events.
Event Rules And Event Scores Cleaned Up
The platform now handles event rules and event scores more clearly.
-
Event Rules store how an event is configured, such as the selected scoring type.
-
Event Scores store the live tracked results and leaderboard values.
This distinction is important because leaderboard and event display pages should not guess the scoring type from existing score rows. They should use the scoring type selected when the event was created.
This update helps make event displays more reliable, especially for new events that do not have scores yet.
Leaderboards Updated
Leaderboard pages have been updated so they display the correct score type for events.
This includes the main leaderboard pages and specific category leaderboards for:
-
Hunting
-
Mining
-
Crafting
-
Fishing
-
Skilling
-
Completed Leaderboards
-
Individual Leaderboard View Pages
Highest-score event types now work correctly by storing and displaying the highest single value instead of incorrectly stacking totals.
Event Category Pages Updated
Event category pages have also been checked and updated so they correctly display the selected scoring type.
This includes:
-
Hunting Events
-
Mining Events
-
Crafting Events
-
Fishing Events
-
Skilling Events
-
Featured Events
-
Live Events
-
Completed Events
This helps keep event cards and event lists consistent across the site.
Analytics Expanded
The main event analytics systems now include the newer score types.
This means analytics can now better reflect activity across more event formats, including HOFs, fishing events, and skilling events.
New analytics coverage includes:
-
HOFs Tracked
-
Highest HOF
-
Fish Count
-
Total Fish Value
-
Highest Fish Value
-
Total Skill Gains
-
Highest Skill Gain
User event analytics were also updated so individual users can see more complete score activity across the newer event types.
Follow System Added
A new user follow system has been added.
Players can now follow other users from their profile page. Profiles now display follower and following counts, along with a Follow or Unfollow button when viewing another user’s profile.
When someone follows another user, a notification is created for the user who gained the follower.
Unfollowing does not create a notification, because that would be unnecessary noise.
This is the first step toward making Entropia Events feel more social and connected. In the future, this can support features such as followed creator activity, notifications for new events, and stronger community discovery.
Profile Page Improvements
User profile pages now include follow information directly inside the profile overview area.
Profiles can now show:
-
Followers
-
Following
-
Follow or Unfollow action
This gives profile pages more purpose and helps make user identity more meaningful across the platform.
Live Sync And App Stability Improvements
Recent desktop client and Live Sync work has also improved startup and connection behaviour.
The app can now open on startup, reconnect, validate login status, and continue syncing more reliably.
Timeout and sync-state handling has been improved so the app is less likely to spam repeated connection errors during normal use.
Sitemap And Platform Infrastructure Improvements
The sitemap system has also been improved.
A duplicated XML handling block in the site configuration was removed, which helped Google Search Console begin reading the sitemap properly again.
The sitemap cron job has also been added so the sitemap can regenerate automatically on a schedule.
This should help the platform stay easier for search engines to crawl as more events, pages, and systems are added.
Beta Development Notice
Entropia Events is still in beta, and more systems are still planned.
Some parts of the platform will continue to be improved over time, but this update completes several important foundation systems that were needed before the site could move further into creator tools, social systems, and event customization.
What This Update Means
This update makes Entropia Events much more complete as a platform.
Event creation is clearer. Scoring is more reliable. Leaderboards are better aligned with event rules. Analytics now cover more event types. Users can follow each other. New visitors have a proper Introduction page. The platform now has stronger support, resource, and discovery pages.
The next phase can now move toward more fun and creative systems, such as creator-focused features, event customization, and visual styling options.
Entropia Events is still growing, but this update is a major step toward making it a useful live event platform for the Entropia Universe community.
