Installation Guide
The Entropia Events Client is the official desktop bridge for Entropia Events. It connects your Entropia Events account, avatar name and selected Entropia Universe chat.log file so live events, verification and supported event scoring can work correctly.
Follow the steps below in order for the clearest setup experience. The system is designed to stay synchronized even if you add your avatar name from either the website or the desktop client.
Download the Entropia Events Client from the official Entropia Events download page only. Do not use modified, reuploaded or unofficial versions.
The desktop client is used to connect your Entropia Events account to your local chat.log file. Your app token is stored securely using Windows Credential Manager and is not stored in plain text inside config.json.
Run EntropiaEventsApp.exe from your Downloads folder or the folder where you saved it. When the desktop client opens, it should show the Status, Bridge, Settings, About and Logs tabs.
The Logs tab is useful during setup because it shows login, token, bridge, avatar and chat.log status messages.
You can login from the desktop client by clicking Login To Entropia Events, or you can login directly on the Entropia Events website. Both methods are supported.
After login, your browser will return the secure account token to the desktop client. The desktop client should then show the bridge as connected, and the website User Control Panel should show the desktop bridge as connected.
If your browser asks whether to open EntropiaEventsApp, allow it. This is how the website securely hands the login state back to the desktop client.
Enter your full Entropia Universe avatar name exactly as it appears in game. Avatar names are case sensitive and must be typed correctly.
You can add or update your avatar name in either location:
Both methods update the same account data. If you save your avatar name on the website, the desktop client will automatically sync and display it. If you save your avatar name in the desktop client, the website will also display the updated name.
In the desktop client, open the Bridge tab and click Link Chat.log. Select your Entropia Universe chat.log file.
Common location:
The desktop client does not automatically search your computer for game files. You choose the chat.log file yourself.
Once linked, the website Desktop Bridge Status page should show Chat.log linked successfully.
After login, avatar name setup and chat.log linking are complete, click Start Live Sync in the desktop client.
Live Sync should remain active while you are playing Entropia Universe and participating in events. If Live Sync is not running, important event lines may not be submitted.
The website and desktop client should both show the same general state: bridge connected, chat.log linked and Live Sync running.
Open the Avatar Verification page from your User Control Panel. The page will show a verification code.
Launch Entropia Universe, login to the avatar name shown on the verification page, then paste the verification code into any chat channel in game.
The desktop client watches your linked chat.log file. When it detects the verification code, your account will be marked as verified.
After verification succeeds, the website should show Avatar Verified and the desktop client should show Avatar Verification as verified.
Keep the desktop client open while participating in live events. Closing the desktop client or stopping Live Sync may prevent new event progress from being submitted.
If you change your avatar name later, save it again from either the User Control Panel or the desktop client. Both systems will sync the updated name.
If something looks out of sync, open the desktop client, check the Logs tab, refresh the User Control Panel and confirm the bridge, chat.log and avatar status cards match.
Entropia Events is in beta, so report anything unusual with as much detail as possible, especially screenshots of the desktop client Logs tab and the website status page.
The desktop client is required for chat.log linking, Live Sync, avatar verification and automatic event tracking.
